How can original artwork become more accessible to organizations while creating new opportunities for local artists?
Overview
Art for Rent is a mobile application concept that enables organizations and event planners to discover, curate, and temporarily rent artwork from local artists. The project sought to create an alternative to individual artist commissions by providing a platform that supports local creative communities while making artwork more accessible for temporary exhibitions and events.
The design focused on simplifying the artwork discovery and rental process through robust search and filtering, curated collections, and an augmented reality feature that allows users to preview artwork within their own space before completing a rental. The project also considered the needs of artists by providing tools to create profiles, manage galleries, and list artwork for rent or sale.
